Prep for the CHES/MCHES exam

The CHES and MCHES exams are competency-based tools used to measure the possession, application, and interpretation of knowledge in the key Areas of Responsibility for Health Education Specialists. The CHES exam is a test for individuals in the early stages of their career and tests you on what is relevant in the health education profession. The MCHES exam is a test for experienced health educators with at least 5 years of experience.

How to prepare for the exams: 

  • Make sure you meet the exam eligibility requirements
  • Apply online to take the exam & pay the application fee
  • Schedule your exam appointment (offered annually in April & October)
  • Study for the exam
